Champions League 2012 Round Of 16 Fixtures

Image

    Lyon (Fra) v APOEL (Cyp)
    Napoli (Ita) v Chelsea (Eng)
AC Milan (Ita) v Arsenal (Eng)
Basel (Swi) v Bayern Munich (Ger)
Bayer Leverkusen (Ger) v Barcelona (Spa)
CSKA Moscow (Rus) v Real Madrid (Spa)
Zenit St Petersburg (Rus) v Benfica (Por)
Marseille (Fra) v Inter Milan (Ita)

EPL teams especially Arsenal is facing a tough draw. Two best teams Barcelona and Real Madrid got easy fixtures, my dark horse for the title Bayern Munich have relatively tough challenge remember Basel knocked out Man Utd  and, the other three outside contenders for the title with talent & experience to win it if things go their way: Milan, Chelsea and Arsenal. Unfortunately Arsenal and Milan are drawed against each other. So going to one less contender by quarterfinals.

Will add the dates soon!

It's almost a walkover for Real Madrid and Barca. May be there is some truth in the English mourning Platini hates English clubs. :?:

The English always mourn about everything. But this time around they might have point. Barcelona and Real Madrid are too big a club and add too much revenue into the Euro for them to fail. So they will make every effect to get them into the Knock outs at some others cost.

It wouldn't be a Euro championship if out of 8 quaterfinalists 4 are from England alone ? It wouldn't be the money machine which it is now! Larger the territory covered more the people who are going to watch the game and better the revenue through TV rights and merchandise.
